"Brother, do you believe in God..?"
"Why should I?"
"But... what about all those unanswered questions? Like, why are we here? Where do we go when we die..?"
"Al, what's got you so philisophical all of the sudden?"
"I've just been... thinking. A lot actually... Brother, I'm alive- aren't I?"
"Of course you are Al! Why would you ever think that you weren't?"
"Because if I'm alive- it mean's I can die."
"Yeah Al... you can die..."
"Brother, you never really answered my question."
"No Al, I don't belive in god."
"Why?"
"Al, if there was a god- or even justice in the world- none of this would have happened. It's all just chance. In a billion billion galaxies with million million stars, surely some would have planets, and surely one of those planets would have life. That's us. I don't think god would put us through this. I don't think Mom would have gotten sick, because that bastard never would have left... and if there was any justice in the world, you- we wouldn't be stuck like this."
"Really Ed, do you believe that?"
"Yeah, why? Do you think there's a god?"
"Yeah... because if there is a God or any justice in the world... I wouldn't have a brother as good as you."
"Why should I?"

Again
Did it hurt, Alphonse?
Did it hurt when they took you away, when you learned the Truth, when you thought Mom was palpable, but in reality, you somehow knew she was never coming back?
Did it hurt to return as nothing but a suit of armor?
It was my fault, Alphonse; I shouldn't have made you believe that one day she would come back, and we could hold onto her forever.
Now we are nothing but two lost souls, wandering, wanting, searching for a dream that is said to be impossible to capture.
I don't think it is.
But the Truth got to us, Alphonse. It grabbed us by the throats; it tripped us on the winding path; it showed us just how damn cruel

Birthnight
"I never knew the nights were this long. Before this, I always spent my nights talking with brother about alchemy, about our future...and once we got tired from all the talking, we'd fall asleep and dream of happy things. One night seemed so short then. Now one night feels so... so awfully long." Alphonse Elric, chapter 43
~ -:- ~
Edward Elric loves to sleep.
After all, spending every day traveling, researching, chasing leads and getting into various kinds of trouble can get a bit tiring. And he once heard that getting a good night's rest helps you grow, so what he misses from his issues with milk he makes up for in sleeping hours.

Our Beginnings
Riza lay on the hospital bed, groaning in pain. Her hand was wrapped around Gracia's hand, her nails digging into the flesh as another wave of pain hit her. Gracia winced but she didn't say anything because she knew what the woman was going through.
She looked up and noticed a tear run down Riza's cheek. "It'll be all right."
"It hurts... Where is he?" Riza whimpered.
Gracia smiled at seeing the softer side of the supposed cold hearted woman. "Don't worry. He'll be here soon. "

Roy sat with his face buried in his arms that were crossed on his desk, sleeping peacefully. These past few months had been hard; dealing with her mood swi
